The American Academy of Audiology (AAA) was held in Nashville, TN this year. The US-based convention attracts thousands of attendees from around the world to learn about the latest and greatest in audiology and the hearing care industry. From the Sivantos Group, our brands Signia, HearUSA, hear.com and Rexton each participated as exhibitors. In addition to bringing our latest products to the visitors of the AAA, the focus for our premium brand Signia was engagement with visitors in the booth and at the evening event. During the day, several presentations ran simultaneously and continuously, such as Audiology, Connectivitiy, and TeleCare. OVP demos were also offered to those interested, and 250 attendees were eager to experience the market-unique feature for themselves. In addition, they introduced their latest tool geofencing – a tool that alone led to 39.4k impressions. They also had 550 people attend their evening event at a popular spot in Nashville that featured three local bands.
The main goal for HearUSA was two-fold – to recruit audiologists out of the student population and to communicate with providers in the HearUSA hearing care network. A virtual reality game was front and center at the booth to draw visitors in – and reviews were positive. Recruits spoke about impressive benefit packages for new hires and the network provider portal as convincing highlights to join the team.
Rexton also focused on recruiting and the student population visiting the AAA. Which is why they used the opportunity to reach out to the 1,300 student attendees at the event to collect contact information for future applicants. With this connection, Audiology students can apply for a scholarship that Rexton started 2 years ago, on their 60th anniversary. Here, the 3 scholarship winners for 2018.
