Government Services Workshop in the US

government services pocket guide

Hearing loss and tinnitus are the most common disabilities among veterans, and current service members face a high risk of developing hearing loss due to noise exposure. The US Veterans Administration (VA) is an agency of the federal US government. It supports veterans and their families in their time after servicing by providing benefits and support, including healthcare services. Over 9 million veterans are enrolled in the VA Healthcare Program.

Hearing care professionals play an important role in connecting veterans with the hearing care solutions that enable them to hear better and treat their tinnitus. In June, Sivantos hosted a Government Services workshop designed to instruct Veterans Administration hearing care professionals on the latest Signia technology. The event gathered professionals and technicians from around the country.

Overall, the event further enhanced the knowledge and expertise of the VA hearing care professionals, enabling them to provide military personnel and veterans with the hearing solutions and services that can improve their hearing—and their lives.
