No other hearing aid offers more connectivity
The world has never seen anything like it: Signia Pure 13 BT is the only hearing aid in the industry that ensures true binaural signal processing (data and audio information) as well as streaming signals directly from the iPhone. In addition, it is the world’s first hearing aid to use the motion sensors in the iPhone. In this way, it adapts to different hearing situations even more flexibly. For example, if the hearing aid wearer is in a noisy environment while on a walk, the hearing aids not only focus on the speech of a conversation partner, but also (because they register movement) automatically pay attention to any important ambient noises, such as an approaching car, at the same time.
Higher Audio Quality via Bluetooth Streaming
The Signia Pure 13 BT hearing aid connects to the iPhone via the fast and secure Bluetooth Low Energy (LE) wireless technology. This allows for a particularly high-quality audio transmission with a simultaneously lower load on the batteries. The audio signals are transmitted directly from the iPhone into the hearing aids without an additional transmission device – whether a telephone call, video conference or music.
TeleCare 2.0: The intelligent hearing aid adjustment of the future
The latest Signia devices are also the first hearing aids in the world to use smart data, which means that they offer specific benefits from the intelligent processing of collected data. This innovative approach is made possible by Signia TeleCare 2.0. This solution collects detailed information about the wearing and usage behavior and securely saves the following information in the wearer’s myHearing app as smart data: How long and when are the hearing aids worn? In which hearing situations? What hearing programs does the wearer use, how often, for how long and in which hearing environment? What volume settings does the wearer use at which ambient noise level? In addition, the wearer can rate his or her experiences via a daily satisfaction survey in the app. The hearing care professional uses this objective data to learn when and how the hearing impaired person uses the hearing aids and thus can better serve the hearing needs.
The hearing care professional can also detect the hearing situations in which there is a need for additional adjustment and learn how satisfied the customer is. Especially during the important test phase of new hearing aids, this is a key success criterion.
Still valid: better than normal hearing
The hearing impaired also benefit from the outstanding speech intelligibility for which the Signia hearing aids are known. This is made possible by the binaural exchange of audio signals between the hearing aids in the left and right ear. The microphones in the hearing aids form a type of network that continuously analyzes the acoustic environment for speech signals and accentuates them from competing ambient noises. This “high definition binaural” technology gives hearing aid wearers precise hearing in both ears, which is a matter of course for those with normal hearing. This greatly reduces the hearing effort. Thanks to a particularly effective directional microphone, speech comprehension is even better in certain situations than for those with normal hearing.*
*Two clinical studies have shown that binax provides better than normal hearing in certain demanding environments (University of Northern Colorado, 2014; Oldenburg Hörzentrum, 2013): Speech Reception Thresholds (SRT) in cocktail-party situations improved up to 2.9 dB for wearers with mild to moderate hearing loss using Carat binax or Pure binax hearing aids with narrow directionality, compared to people with normal hearing.
